The local branch of the U.S. Postal Service is located at 315 Main Street, New Windsor, IL 61465. From stamps to shipping supplies, the local post office is there to assist you with all of your mailing needs.

The U.S. Postal Service does not provide home mail delivery to New Windsor homes and businesses. Local mail is delivered to safe and convenient lock boxes located in the lobby of the local post office at 315 Main St., New Windsor, IL 61465. Access to mailboxes is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all holidays. Each resident is granted one standard size mailbox at no charge. Additional or larger mailboxes are available for an annual fee. Should there be too much mail for the mailbox or items that are too large for the mailbox, a card will be left in the mailbox inviting the owner to stop by the customer service counter, during business hours, to pickup their mail or package(s). If the item(s) will fit in one of the package lockers or larger mailboxes, the post office may leave a key in the mailbox to pickup your mail there. Simply follow the instruction on the card attached to the key to retreive your mail, then drop the key in the drop box in the post office lobby.
A resident may choose to install a curb side mailbox, completely at their expense, at their home, to have their mail delivered by the New Windsor Postal Service Rural Mail Courier. Rural mailbox owners are responsible for maintaining their mailboxes and ensuring that access to their mailbox is always available by vehicle without the courier having to exit their vehicle. Items that are too large for the mailbox may be left on the ground near the mailbox where security and protection from the elements cannot, of course, be guranteed.
